I have receive d a job offer and my application has been in process since June 26. Although I sent a request for extension of study permit, it it possible that now, after I've sent everything request a work permit?

You will qualify for an open work permit once you have AIP (first stage approval). You should have AIP approximately 11 months after you submit your application.

If you wish to work earlier, then your employer will first have to submit an LMO (Labour Market Opinion) application. Once the LMO is approved, you can then apply for a work permit.
