I have my Canadian PR valid till end of 2024 and I want to sponsor my spouse's PR.

1. Will he get PR for 5 yrs or only till the time mine is valid ?
2. I need to be in India time to time to support my family. Is his PR going to be dependent on mine ? If my PR expires will his also expire ?

1. The PR card will be valid for 5 years.
2. No, his PR will not be dependent on yours. However note that you must be living in Canada when you submit the application to sponsor him for PR and you must continue living in Canada while his PR application is processed. It's OK to take a few short trips outside of Canada (e.g. 2-3 week long trips). However you need to be spending most of your time in Canada while the application is being processed since this is a requirement to qualify as a sponsor.
