i have just checked my e-case online, but it still says "application received"

When did you receive your AOR? You might want to order GCMS notes.

I applied in august 2012 and my ecas still show Application received. My GCMS notes didn't contain needed information

ecas is not that accurate, so please do not worry about it.
August applicants are just starting to get MRs, so it might be a month or more before you receive yours. Of course I hope it will happen soon for you!
Sometimes the status will get updated to 'In process', and often that would be the time you would be getting MR or RPRF/biodata requests.
But there are also cases when status changes to 'in process' and nothing happens for month.
So please take all those status updates with 'a grain of salt'.
