I got rejected by Carleton U for MS in CS with 75% Average where should I apply?

I had all my hopes up for Carleton University, I got my BSc in Information Systems with 75% average, Strong SOP and also Strong References + resume
but I still got rejected. I really wanted to go to Canada for my masters, which University will likely offer me admission for the fall 2016? Thank you in advance.

Note: Carleton I applied for winter 2016 and I'm International student, don't know if that's what affected me.

Dont apply to uni of sask..they have VERY low acceptance ratio...apply to memorial or windsor or concordia instead...do a thorough search before applying

Okay, I will leave out the Saskatchewan - Already filled the application but didn't submit. As for Concordia, I don't like the 'Security' aspect of their information systems, so I prefer to go with MSc CS. I'll look at Concordia though. There are few days to deadline and Windsor doesn't allow electronic submission of application files, such as transcript, reference, SOP etc.

Yes Memorial deadline has passed. How about university of Victoria ? Dalhousie? Or SFU? Are they safe to apply?

But u never know..carleton was suppose to be safe for ur profile aswel..

Well no they haven't provided any reason... I was also in state of shock... I don't know what else they wanted!

I think the reason could be that my UG was in ECE field and my scores in CS related subjects are not that great.. I thought my experience would cover it... But it seems that I am not lucky enough in that too

Yes... They actually don't provide any reason I don't know why. I hope you get admitted somewhere, did you apply elsewhere?

I think you should try University of New Brunswick, UVIC & SFU ( Since you have strong grades but email professor and tell them you are interested in working under them)

You can also try Ryerson University. Acceptance in University is always low.

Thank you luvanuj, the deadline for Uvic was 15 January 2016 for fall intake, so it has passed. I'll try the others and see.

How about York and Brock? I heard their admission selection criteria is relatively easy, but not sure. What do you think about the two?
