We received your application for permanent residence on April 11, 2013.

We started processing your application on September 12, 2013.

Medical results have been received. This was sometime in June.

PPR Request January 24, 2014

I applied within Canada under the BC PNP Program IN Feb 2013 and got nominated sometime in March 2013. I applied for my PR in early March.

Hang in there, guys for those who are still waiting.

Since you applied outside of Canada (is that right?) the timing will be a little different. For me, it took me a couple months for CIC to ask me about medicals After they received my file. You'll get yours soon. Keep us posted

Whizlon,

May I ask u some questions,

I have to go back to my country to get police certificate. however, I couldn't go until Jun, 2014. and my nomination will be expired on JUn 30, 2014.

Should I apply for PR early now and send police certificate later?

do u know how long they asking for police certificate since u applied for PR ?

Thanks you so much for your help,

Rachel

Rachael, I don't know which country you are from. You can be able to obtain PCCs for most of the countries through embassies or consular offices in Canada. I don't find any need for you to visit your country to obtain PCCs.

Secondly, you can very well submit your PR application without PCC. It is clearly written in the Checklist that PCC can be submitted later. So please proceed to submit your PR application and in parallel start PCC process as well.

My hearty wishes for you to become a Canadian PR very soon.

Cheers...

when you submited your cic PR application package. what NOC skill level were you? did you submit a language test?

I need help to know if i need to take a language test or not.

on the CIC instruction sheet it tells me that NOC level C and D must take language test
then right under it a language test must be submited along with your application package

does that include NOC 0, A and B...

should I just take the $300 dollar test and be safe?
thanks

Hi Rachel,

The quicker you get your PR application in, the faster you\ll get results. While your PR application is in process, it would be wise for you send your police certificates to CIC ASAP. This will keep your application in process, which means your application will processed in a timely manner. For example, when my application was in process, CIC asked me to send my police certificate, which halted my application until they got the results. If I'd sent them my police certificate at the beginning of the application process, chances are I would have got my PR application processed faster.
If possible, find out if someone can apply for your on your behalf to get your police certificate rather than waiting. I did this and it saved me a great deal of time.

What country are you applying from?

HI Jacz32,

Fortunately, I wasn't required to submit a language test under the skilled worker/strategic options in the BCPNP. My NOC was 4212-B (no language requirement for this NOC #) If you're, required to submit a language test under C & D, it would be wise to do so in order to avoid delays or refusal of your application, which mean money wasted. I've learned that following instructions to the T will bring success to your application.
If you want to avoid the language test, find a job in the 0, A, B category in the BC PNP.

All the best and l;et me know how it works out and feel free to as more questions. :)

Thanks whizlon and whizlon for your answers,

I'm from Vietnam. I did ask embassy but they cannot do anything except giving me the authorized letter. however, that letter doesn't work in my city ( different city have different rule about PCC unfortunately :( ) .

I deceived to submit PR application this week without PCC to avoid any delay of the time.

Thanks you guys for your support and best wishes to you

Rachel, :))
