dears, i had applied in April 2010 and waited for the reply till January but unfortunately no answer, then i emailed to the inquiry London and they sent me an email consisted of my file number and the letter to submit the application for further process to the London office. that email was a forwarded email. according to their assumption that email was sent to me on 4th of August. but i did not get that email or any postal letter. and if i calculate from 4th august 120 days had gone. there was no particular note of delay of the reply and simply the letter was advising me for further process. now what should i do? should i consider the 120 days starting from 5th january when i got the response of my inquiry or not? please guide...

This is very pathetic indeed!

I can only advise that you quickly package your documents and send to your Visa Office IMMEDIATELY without any further delay (Just hope you have all documents ready)

Please write an apologetic letter explaining the whole reason......it may work

Visa Office adhered strictly to the 120 days! You should not stand on the fact that you receive the mail on January 5, 2011 afterall it was a forwarded message which implied that an old mail was sent to you. Your non receiving same is not their problem.

I wish you the best of luck!

i would advise you yo fist consult your VO explaining the whole situation and then act accordingly, because they are very strict in 120 days deadline so its better to first consult and then start all the efforts.

Dear Hijrat,

Send an immediate mail to London Office ( Put URGENT in Subject Line).

Explain them your situation and ask them consider ur case and get the new deadline.

Regards
Cool

I agree with both mis and coolguy2010.

Email urgently the VO and in the meantime, get your papers ready.

I would add that it's better to call them, and ask for an email confirmation of the discussion.

Cheers!

Well VOs are very strict in this regard if they have sent you forwarded email, it means that as per their records they have sent you an email on time. now you got their email in junk or whatever they dont care. so i think better to consult them before moving with the whole hectic document gathering exercise, because i personally see thin chance of approval.

There is a kind of good news as one forum member confirmed that CIO system had problem and that was why the email did not drop to you.

Please urgently conrtact CIO for further information.

Hi Hijrat,
sorry to know abouit yr case too. hope that u have already contacted to CIO as suggested already. I think they will conform with yr application if it was delivered to yr mail box at the time and they will respond you soon.
