1. Is the company incorporated in Canada?

2. Does it operate as a going concern i.e. its not a one man small business that is not making a profit!

3. Were you employed in Canada and then posted overseas?

4. Is the job by or linked to the Federal, Territorial or Provincial government e.g the Canadian Forces?

1. With 1, 2 and 3 being yes the employment qualifies as working for a bona fide Canadian employer and will be ok for PR Renewal...expect to submit evidence of the incorporation and your contract of employment showing the transfer out of Canada.

2. Had 4 been yes e.g. seconded by the Canadian Army or a diplomatic posting then time would count for both PR and Citizenship. As it stands your time outside will not count for Citizenship.

You will need to be re-assigned back to Canada to accumulate Citizenship time.
