Hi,
I got CoPR (Application for Common Law) did Flagpole and got SIN number - can I work now or wait for PR card?
I got yesterday my SIN (social insurance number) ... I AM ALLOW TO WORK yet or do I have to wait for PR card which will be send to me by email?
And I love in British Columbia ... DO I NEED THE BC CARD?
and If I would get on my partner medical plan do I STILL NEED A HEALT BC CARD?
thanks!

You can work now.

Are you talking about the BC ID card? If so, you are not required to have one.

You are required to get BC MSP.

You can work immediately. You should also be able to get your own health card.

I *think* in BC, people have reported issues being able to sign up for the healthcare with just the COPR, and it's required to have the actual PR card. I'm in ontario, so i know it's not an issue here...

What is BC MSP?

And why I am not required to have BC card?

BC MSP is the Provincial Medical Services Plan (health care).

You can get the BC Services Card, which combines your BC MSP and BC DL into one card.

No, there is no issue applying for MSP with just the COPR.
