hi everyone!!
Well I´ve asked before about my chances of getting a TRV to visit my husband while we waited for the PR...some have said there was no chance I could get it...some others have helped with their previous experience, anyways just wanted to let everyone know that......I GOT MY TRV!!!!! :D and I am so happy now!

It was definitely stressful to apply and the waiting of my visa but its all good now; it came in perfect time for my hubby and I to spend our Anniversary together in Canada.

We are still "in process" for PR but being able to finally spend some time together its awesome and takes out some of the stress for the waiting.

Thanks all and good luck!!

CHEERS!!! :D

Congratulations! That's really awesome that you actually got a TRV while you have a spousal PR ap in process. Can I ask which country you're from?

Congrats. Mexico used to be visa-exempt until last yr August when citizens of Mexico began to require TRV to enter Canada. In countries who have long required visas to visit Canada, it may be very difficult to get

Congaturation!!I am sooo happy for you. my hubby's TRV was refused some days ago.so please enjoy in canada for us!!!!! halloween...christmas....and new year!!(if you stay) many events coming soon!

Congratulations!!Enjoy every moment you have together!

I will be applying fro a TRV soon too while my PR is being processed! I hope I have good news like you!
My wife and I are expecting our second child together in March next year and I would be heartbroken if I don't get to be with her for that!

No I had no interview, I only droped all required documents and a cover letter explaining the porpouse of my visit, that I had PR in process and wasnt planing to risk my application by overstaying or doing something wrong. Also my husband wrote a letter to visa officer asking nicely for their consideration, the plan of my visit (our anniversary together), and that he will support me.
I dont have a job, no property nor cars... :S so also my dad wrote a letter stating that he will also help if necesary to support my trip and stay in Canada.

Thanks and wish you all the best luck with your application. Stay positive and visualize that you will be there for your child birth and Xmas (I believe in God and the law of attraction)... :)
Visa officer can be nice and Im sure they will understand the importance of being there for your child birth.

Good luck again!!

congratulations!

I'm so happy for you! Congratulations! :)

I applied for a TRV on July 2009 which was denied, like you I had no job or anything, I was a recent univ. graduate, my dad sent a letter of financial support, and my now husband sent a letter too describing my purpose to come to Canada etc.. it was denied and I waited until January of this year and applied again, with a job etc, and they gave me a multiple entry one.
So I'm not too sure if we can say visa officers are nice.. they are just doing their jobs and I guess their mood matters a lot in the final decision to give you or not a TRV :(
Just make sure you bring the documents that you applied with to the airport, just in case you find a moody Officer.. Good luck! :)

Thanks you all...I got my flight ticket already and I will be in T.O. for Thanks Giving :)

Well, yes I know there´s some moody officers too..Last year when I was still in Canada and my Mom went to visit me (no need of visa at that time) she got a very moody officer and he even called me for an interview and almost deported me eventhough I was totally legal there...such a stressful moment...

Anyways...I prefer to think that there are nice officers working on our applications, with a big heart and they will just help us to be soon reunited with our love ones.(with a PR) :D

And thanks I am already gathering all the possible documents they might request at the port of entry.
;)
