I got AIP and my passport is going to expire- help!!!!

Hi guys,

I applied for a study permit in the month of March 2020 and I got my AIP in August 2020.
Now my passport is going to expire in the month of May 2021.

What are the options available to me? What should I Do?

Please Help.

Renew your passport and send a web form of your renewed passport. If the renewal process takes a while, inform the IRCC of the situation and how long you expect it to be renewed, get it renewed then send a web form.

As I have already submitted my biometric details, will IRCC consider my updated passport or will they ask to resubmit a new application?

No, you do not need to resubmit your application, you can always update your information using the web form.

With the current passport, your study permit (when it get stamped) will be till May 2021.
