I entered canada with a single status (since I wasn't able to change when I was in the Philippines)and I want to change it now into married. Would it be safe for me? would there be no problem in applying for my new work permit? I'm so worried ...Please help me I'm so confused.Thank you!!!

If you were already married when you first entered Canada but declared your status as "single", then you committed misrepresentation and it could mean lots of trouble for you.

If you got married between your old and new work permit, you can change your status to married now. If you were already married when you entered Canada on your first work permit, you have committed misrepresentation and then you have a problem. However, if you don't correct your status, you will have a continuing problem if you end up applying for PR because you would not be able to sponsor your spouse.

There's no such address and no way to change your status.

Did you come on a PR visa or something else?
