I don't understand why is very long when is suppose to be short.

Actualy Manila change our status of e-case. They said in Progress. How long time is suppose to be in progress? In progress mean someone in canadian ambassy are processing our file? Or is the Visa center?

May 16, they receive our application in Mississauga.
August 28, they receive our application in Manila
December 1, they ask passport, Residence fee (490$). some info about my wife and the family. They receive everything december 18.
January 28, they ask CSQ, They receive CSQ the day afer.
January 31 they start to progress our application
...

I know when i apply in may, the first step is 86 day. The second step is 9 month. When begin the second step? When they receive application in manila or when they start the processing in ambassy?

We know they start january 31, but how long time we must wait the passport back? 1 month? 2? 12?

This situation make us stress and crazy. And my wife are preggy. We must tell to ambassy about that?

they dont care.......

try 4 years waiting....(and im 3rd generation Canadian) which makes it sting more !

Congrats on the pregnancy. You can inform the embassy about it. Send them a case-specific enquiry with attached a confirmation from your doctor with the due date. It won't probably change anything, but you never know! if your child is born BEFORE they issue the PR, you should inform them and send new forms with updated family information, so that they can issue a visa for your child as well.

The 9 months starts after the sponsorship approval.

Manila asks for passport early in the process, so it doesn't necessarily mean that they are ready to issue the visa right away.

there are a few Manila thread and spreadsheet where you can see how long people had to wait after the passport request so it will give you an idea. They have asked for a few things from you so it might take a while to get all the file together.

In process is good - it means that indeed somebody is looking at your application.

GOod luck for the waiting part - you should be near the end!

If you don't mind, how many months pregnant is your wife? When does her medical expire?
Because there are quite few people who have been speed up because their medical are already expiring in a month.

Our application is out of Manila, and we got PPR three weeks after going 'In Process'. And one month after that we went 'Decision Made'.

Should be any day now for you.

PPR is passport request, but you probably won't get one because you are from a visa-exempt country, so you can fly into Canada as a tourist and land when you arrive. For people that are non-visa-exempt, they need to send their passports to the embassy, they are issued a visa ( so that the airlines let them on the plane) + the COPR to land when they arrive.

The baby is due for september. i hope this baby be born in my country. What is the consequence if we advise or not the visa office? They can reject or delay the application?

There is no consequence. You must only notify them of a "birth", ie when the baby is born.

sure? :o i hope realy is no consequence or they will process more fast.

They wouldn't process it any faster if you told them.. I think if anything it would slow you down because they would have to take the time to link your case specific inquiry with your file.
If your baby is born in the Philippines you will also have to sponsor it, unless your husband is a citizen and not a PR. I wouldn't risk that because the paperwork will just get messy.
Chances are that you will get your visa before your medical expires in April. If you could land in April you still have time for your healthcare to kick in before September when the baby is due - then you get free delivery and no hassle with the baby's citizenship.

Your timeline is still really fast compared to others - your sponsor approval was late, end of August, so you are really lucky to be as far as you are. I would hold off on calling them just yet.. I know you want to start panicking, but just wait a few more weeks and I'm sure you will have some news. Calling or bothering them at this stage won't help at all.
