I don't have a Birth Certificate, What to do?

I don't have a birth certificate. It was never made and was never a practice in the village I was born. I don't think anyone would issue me one now. Will CIC accept any other document or documents in lieu of a birth certificate? Seniors kindly comment.

Affidavit from your parents will work...stating the details of your name dob place of birth , both the parents names etc
