I am waiting for my Work Visa for more than 3 Months

Please, I hope to find anyone who can help me.
I am from Egypt and currently I am studying in USA, I had a postdoc offer in Canada and I have applied to a TRV (Work) in 8-8-2016. I did an online application and my application still under processing until now (about 15 week). I am not a USA citizen and I answered some questions in CIC website and it guided me to the online application.
I am afraid that I will miss the job, and I am thinking to return to Egypt and apply again from there. My friend finish the same visa in less than 6 weeks from Egypt.
Can this causes any problems for me???.

Please check processing time in the below tool. If it has passed the processing time window then you can reach out to CIC.

Thank you for your response my application already exceeded the processing time. I send them a case specific request and they responded that the application is in process this was a month ago.
