I honestly can't believe the amount of negative ratings I am getting.
Is it wrong to post a link or discuss opinions? If I am giving bad advice based on actual immigration matters than I rightfully deserve them but I don't see how anyone on here deserves I good or bad rating for an opinion from a link.

Can someone please tell me what I did wrong here?
I would appreciate the honesty more than ratings. I can change things if they are spoken to me but I can't change what I don't know.
I really do want to make friends along the way here and also help. The best way for me to do that is to know what you all think. PM me if you would feel more comfortable that way.

Nothing wrong, ignore it - a flawed system.

P.S. I send my sincere apologies if I offended anyone. Also, I was not informed of the type of man this was that was suggesting such a change. I am sadly embarrassed that I started a thread even mentioning this guy. :-[

Is there a way to delete a topic? I would rather not offend anyone else who may come across it.

People post -ve for no reason, if it was offensive then so are a lot of other threads - like I said, ignore it.

I have noticed that. I try not to get bothered by it but some days it just grabs me in the wrong way. I question myself all the time thinking, what did I do wrong or what can I do better? I will never know. All I can do is be myself and try to help. I am through trying to please people if it means I can't be myself. Btw I gave you a positive as well. Sorry for the negatives you received along the way.

The karma thing does not bother me, it means nothing.
If someone does what they believe is right, then that is more than enough.

Trying to understand why people post -ve for no reason is a waste of time, ...

Their problem, not yours :)

This is a great thread in my opinion.

Well again thank you. You have enlightened my spirits again.
From now on I will do my best to stay true to myself and give good advice where I can.
That will just have to be good enough to every one else.

They could if you really did. Since all they can do is click on a little online equivalent of "I don't like you and my dad is stronger than yours, boooooo" ... well, that tells us something about the strength of their arguments, not yours :) (But here's a +1 just because I can :D)

Ontopically, the point here isn't that it's Lieberman who said it (which would in itself deserve a good laugh and a healthy dose of ignoring), but the fact that people... other people... people who aren't him... (I can't stress this enough: people in this world, Americans or not, who are NOT Joe Lieberman)... are actually taking this seriously enough to talk about it and form opinions about security around it. Because it's the visa system that stopped all the naughty terrorists thus far ::) And they mostly came through Canada ::)

USA needs to stop acting like a cranky kid trying to beat up its playmates into liking it.

added +1 to both Baloo and love-young.......because I find that both of you, post entertaining and informative posts in this forum.

Do I agree with everything you say?....not always....but just because my views are different from yours....makes this forum so enjoyable and a great learning tool.

I have cut down on my posts over recent months, due to the fact that no matter what I was posting someone always struck me a -....so I have kinda given up trying to help a lot of people, as they don't appear to really want help.

As for the American/Canadian Border crossing.....I am British....an allie (sp) of America and I still need a visa to get into the Country. To date though, apart from the $6.00, I have not had any negative experience with either the American or Canadian border guards, so really unable to comment.

Do you actually consider a stranger touching someone else's genitalia as something other than sexual assault?

Yes, it's a security check, done for passenger safety not for somebody's sexual gratification. Two entirely different things

Life would be too boring if we all agreed.

So if we remember to keep clicking +ve's you will up the post count ? ;D
I can't say it enough, "we all have to ignore it"
Maybe one day the administrator will remove the Karma option, I live in hope. In the meantime admin could look at this http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=817 it only allows +ve Karma.....

Looks like you are a very reasonable person, eh?

So a Canadian criminal is a better person than any immigrant? I think you'll be more at home on a Klan website

Congratulations you just made my ignore list, something that very few people acheive.
BTW This means, even if you reply, it doesn't matter at all:)
