I am wondering if after I get married can someone in my fiance's/soon to be wife's family (who is from Canada) sponsor me to go to Canada? She is just fresh out of school and doesn't quite have a job yet and we heard that if she doesn't have a job she can't sponsor me (because she has to be financially responsible for me). Or is this thing we heard about her having to have a job not true? We want to start the application process as soon as possible and I am going to stay in the U.S. during the application process. Thanks for any responses I get ahead of time ;D

Only your spouse can sponsor your visa for Canada immigration after marriage.

BEST OF LUCK !

Your wife doesn't need a job to sponsor you. She does however need to show a plan for how you will be supported - for example, will the two of you be living with her relatives till you get established, do you both have savings to rely on, what types of jobs will she/you be looking for...
