Hi,
I am in Montreal in a one year course ending in February of 2020. My girlfriend of 5 years wants to study in Canada but her parents want to marry her to me before, So we agreed we will do this, now , how should we show our status and when should we do it ?

If you get married your girlfriend will have to mention her status as married , and where required she will have to state her relationship to you, and that you are currently staying in Canada.

This will make it harder for her to get student visa as home ties are reduced since her husband ( the future you ) is already in Canada.

I am assuming it's no negotiable, but it would be better for her to get a student visa , wait for 6-7 months and then you both get married later.

It's not an issue either way but applying alone would be slightly better.
