I have applied under Simplified Application Process in July-2007 got the Acknowledgement letter in the following month, since then there is no response from them, I tried to check my application status online, but there is " nothing". While checking my online status I fill in the detail, like the File number and other detail, it gives no reply. what should I do, I am really fed up, I have been told by some one that now they are just keeping these old application hanging so that get fed up and ask either for refund or get too late.
is there any good news? Please guide me what should I and many like me do in such circumstance.?

Hold on man, if your things are genuine ( job experience, bank statement) and no security issues then definitely you will get through but yes it will take time, may be three to four years or more but please loose heart. Immigration of USA and Canada is a long waiting game.

Hi ,

Well brother many, if not most, of 2007 applicants have already received their medicals or passport requests(PR visas). And almost all of them have atleast received their documents update/request letters way back in 2009/2010.How come you are a July 2007 applicant and still not received your docs update letter.

It is possible that your docs update would have lost in mail as CIC sends it through regular mail.In my view if you are still interested in immigrating you should immediately contact CHC London through an email inquiry explaining your situation.I hope they will respond you soon.London office email address is:

london-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

Moreover if they had already send you docs update letter in past, and obviously did not receive a reply from you, they would have closed your file.So in that case the chances of refund are very slim, but if you want to continue your application, there is a chance that you might get in a year or so ,as your case has already exceeded the normal processing timings.

Good Luck

If you don't mind waiting, it will be finally yours to process the case ...
Although this wait could be much longer than expected ...

I am on the other hand just received a "kind of" bad news regarding to the Closure of the Visa Section in the VO I applied ... >:(
Now all the files (me included, applied in Apr. 2007) are being forwarded to VO in H.K. ...

Well, this is gonna take much more time to process than before now ...
Yet, no one can seem to complain about it at all ...

What's up with the Canadian immigration now exactly ...?!?!

thank you guys, for your detail reply. I got my mind fresh and I think its better to contact them, if they still did not reply then the only way I have is to wait, wait and wait.................................. but I suggest that, why not to raise hands against this slow process and backlog. In Case we are not allowed to get immigration, the future applicants will not suffer as we are.
lets form a group on face book/twitter and lets register our complaint there. hope this suggestion would be considered.
thank you all
!

My suggestion, if your occupation is in the list apply again and let both the applications together, once you get the PR you can withdraw the second application, if you have 2 files the chances may increase and with the new applications being processed faster you may get the PR with in 1 year instead of long wait.

Dear NEWCOMER,
following your advice, have contacted London office regarding my case, I got a reply, which says that I MIGHT get a reply within 28 days, and the at the moment they reply to those whose time has passed from the date they applied. I visited the cic.london site where I was mentioned that people who applied before May,2008 , their application may take 42-48 months time, thus in the coming JULY it will be 48 months.
Can you guide me, what should I do during this time, should I send them my documents, which they have not asked yet, and should I prepare for IELTS?

Well Shandarkhan,

The reply which you would have received must be the automated reply ,send through CIC system, and their actual reply you will receive soon which will indicate about the future processings of your case.

Since you are July 2007 applicant ,so its almost certain that an update letter would had been send to you by CIC ,which might would had lost in mail.I, myself,am a July 2007 applicant and received my docs update letter in 2009.
So if we assume that CIC agrees to reopen your file ,still there is a chance that they will not process your application very soon as currently many of 2007 applications, who have not received their docs update and/or medical instruction till now, will be on hold till further instructions from the Parliament. So in my view just wait for the reply from CIC ,if they send you a docs update letter ,surely they will grant you 60-120 days for submission.During this time you can prepare for IELTS,collect your docs etc.
