Here is my situation. I am currently a minor that has a visitor status in Canada. I am now considering applying for a study permit but I do not know where to start. I am currently a college student in my home country but I have only completed one semester so far. I am confused if I should apply for a college here or high school since I do not know if my college or even my high school is credited. I am also worried that I maybe running out of time because the start of school is only 3 months away and I know if I wanna apply for schools it should be atleast a year before school season. Also, how long does it take for study permit applications to be processed? It's because my personal deadline is in August and if it is not possible for me to get accepted in a school and get my permit processed before July ends I'm just gonna let this go. Any help would be very appreciated! :)

You will have to contact the colleges you are interested in attending to see if they will accept you as a student - or read about their program entry criteria on their web sites. None of us here can tell you whether you will be accepted or not. If you want to get accepted by a school and obtain your study permit by the end of August - you need to start applying to schools this week. The longer you wait and do nothing, the less realistic your plans become.

When you apply for the study permit, you will have to send the application to the visa office responsible for your home country. You cannot submit the study permit application from within Canada.
