Hello Everyone! Hello Expert!

I have been in Canada since November 2007, I left here and there to visit my family, but I have been working since then.

In February 2009 I applied for my PR to Buffalo, and my file says the processing centre to be Buffalo. I applied as a skilled worker with a permanent job offer.
I passed my medical in May 2010.
I submitted last requested papers in January 2011.

I have not heard from Immigration Centre since November 2010.

Now, after 29 mnths since application, we are planning to get married.

When i applied, i was single. Now i am planning to get married. He is a canadian, so from what i read here i dont need to include him into my immigration application.

But please?! How should I go about it?
Should I withdraw my application and re-apply under a new category?
Or should I just keep waiting for my application to be complete, get married as we plan and just notify Immigration Centre?

Please advise me!
Any help will be much much appreciated!

Katrin

ohhhhowowowowowooowww... hold on!!! STOP!!... as per your text that you are going to marry with Canadian! so you don't have to worry about PR file.
Just marry with Canadian, apply for Family sponsor.
Read more on CIC Website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp
OR you can contact Buffalo about your file. but worthless to start process for PR, once you get married with canadian than you fall under Family based immigration. ask your future husband to read above link.

Thank you!

SO, guess I should withdraw my current application, once we are married and re-apply.

Thank you for your reply.

you don't have to do this, your future husband have to apply for you. if you don't withdraw your file, it will terminate automatically once you get family sponsor documents. its easy steps to apply family sponsor for common law partner, if you guys dont know about family sponsor process please contact lawyer (David Cohen Canadavisa.com is the best one).

Please just continue and keep your application. If it was in the initial stage, you could with draw and get money back, but if you withdraw no nothing will be refunded. So just keep it and you will get your passport request soon. You never know what can happen.

I wish you the best.
