Hypertension Diagnosed

Hello Guys,

I just got my medical examination. And I am diagnosed with hypertension the clinic said. Is this going to affect my PR application? Anyone had same situation before?

On the face of it, it is not a very serious condition.
How much above the 120/80 limit was it?
I'd suggest you cut down on salts & fats and get yourself thoroughly checked by your family doctor.
A high BP could be a sign of an underlying disease or even a heart condition.

I think however that it is not a very serious condition from the CIC perspective and shouldn't cause a medical failure.

Mine got cleared at 140/88.

Thanks to both of you. I am relaxed now. They have prescribed additional reports and I got an appointment of cardiologist. So will get further diagnosis.

It's high, but it's not serious level high. It is semi dangerous level though and I would certainly get that checked out even if it doesn't affect your PR chances.

In general, hypertension alone won't influence your PR chances. With that said, get that condition checked, so you can remain healthy going forward!

It is not going to be a problem. Even I have hypertension. They will ask for additional test to see that your Kidneys are not damaged because of hypertension. That's all. But difference in my case was that I declared upfront that I have it and was taking medicine and hence my pressure was normal during examination.

What is the abnormal in your ecg result, my wife is in the same situation, irregular heartbeat, we rcvd email from cic for addtional test 2d echo, stress test and 24 hr holter monitoring.
