Husband & Wife - two primary applicants as independent candidates in seperate EE profiles?

Hello dear fellow people

I have a simple question and hope someone would help me.

Is it possible that I create a profile as primary applicant.

On other hand my wife creates her own express profile as primary applicant and fields me as secondary/spouse?

And whoever gets the invitation can proceed?

Is it allowed?

In my case, my wife had 484 and I had a 464.

However, it was much easier for me to get the documents together since she had worked in multiple countries, whereas my work ex was mostly in the US.

We both applied and the plan was to see if the scores dropped enough for me to get an ITA. If they didn’t drop, we would apply in her name and just deal with the paperwork.

We both ended getting invited, of course. We just let her ITA lapse and went through on mine.
