My husband of 10 years is a Canadian citizen and I am British. He has lived with me in the UK for all of our married life and has indefinite sleeve to remain here. We want to live in Quebec and I am in the process of filling in the first lot of application forms (which are a nightmare!). You will probably see me on this forum lots as I have loads of questions! Do I need a criminal police check to accompany the forms and a medical certificate following a check up?
Thanks to all you clever people.
Jackie

Hey, and welcome to the forum!

the process is a bit daunting at first but it gets better once it's more familiar, and soon you'll be answering questions from others !

So - since you're the applicant, yes, you need to get a criminal police check for every country you have lived in for more than 6 months for the last 10 years. and a medical check, done at one of the panel physician on CIC list.

Both set of forms need to be sent at the same time, to Mississauga, Ontario.

Print the check list that goes with each set, and just tick off everything.
If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask!
Good luck,

Or since you turned age 18... (maybe London guide is different from ours). Just make sure to read your VO specific guide, but for sure you need one.
