HUSBAND APPLICATION PENDING-Want to put in my own. Pls Help

My husband applied in Sept 2006 and with the situation on ground it may take eternity to get his case processed. Since my profession falls within the 38 occupations, can i put in another application,this time, as the principal applicant and joining my husband and two kids as minor even with my husband application pending or do we need to withdraw my husband's application first.

OK Thanks PMM,It was a bit different with our PNP,We recently accepted an application from a couple who were both nurses with separate offers and they filed separately.Thank you
