HR from my host University is requesting for work permit

Please I need information, my host University HR is requesting for a work permit. I am a postdoctoral fellow. When I'm applying I applied for a temporary visit (Visitor).
Please How can I get a work permit? I'm outside of Canada.

You need to apply for an LMIA exempt work permit. You cannot work in Canada on the TRV.
