I want to report a person who's really suspicious, I think she is works with visitor visa. I don't really know the name and date of birth of her, but I know where she works and she works there every day.

I have two questions:

1. Is there any way to find out what kind of visa is she holding?
2. Based on the information I listed above, would CIC investigate this case?

Thank you!

1. No - there is no way for you to find out what kind of visa she is holding.
2. No. What are they going to investigate? You don't even know her name.

No, they are not going to do that. If you can provide actual information, i.e. a name and your rationale for the suspected illegal activity, they may decide to investigate.

I don’t understand that on presumption you think someone is working illegally? How do you determine someone is on a visitor visa and why would you go through the trouble of all that if you ain’t 100% sure.

That person is a full time workder but she doesn't have payroll, she's paid by cash. I want to figure it out because she's mean and she bosses me around since she came.

now it makes sense ! Sometimes people are on cash jobs. There’s a ton of jobs out there that are cash jobs. Hope you find your answers

Thanks Sarantos, I really appreciate your help, yes I understand there are cash paid jobs, but she is the general manager of a ltd company, everyone else works in that company has payroll and paid by check, it is really suspicious that as a general manager, she doesn't even have pay roll.

This sounds more like a workplace issue rather than an immigration one. If you have issues with her, maybe first try to report it to her or your superior before you do anything drastic like reporting to immigration.

You can contact the CBSA tip line (find it yourself easily enough). You do need to provide them with something compelling because they receive a lot of tips. Being mean is universal and even exaggerated with managers and supervisors, but the CBSA seems energised so if you have specific suspicions (she is paid in cash) so try to provide them with when, how much and who pays her. If you don't have anything like that then ya don't got much.

Just because she is mean, you want to report her? There are mean people everywhere, it's how you deal with it that counts. Say, she is not an illegal immigrant, how would that look against you. You have to have solid solid evidence before you report anyone. If your wrong there may be consequences for you.

Not to mention that CIC doesn't have the resources to investigate every single fraud report they receive. Especially a report that's as vague as yours.

Why would you want to waste tax payers money over your workplace's domestic issues. CIC is not there to settle your personal scores
