How will I be know if my application has been received and started processing ?

Hi all,

After months of hard work I have finally sent my application for outland spousal sponsorship to CPC Mississauga. The courrier shows that it has been delivered and has the info "Liliane" on it, which I assume is the name of the worker who signed for it.
That was a couple of weeks ago. Should I expect an email from them acknowleging having received it? How long should that take?

Yes u should get an email or snail mail acknowledging the receipt of your application next

that's called AOR1 (acknowledgement of receipt), and it takes them around 50-60 days to send it.

And only after those 60 days or so they should start looking at the first stage of my application evaluating me as a sponsor and ensuring the application is complete, or by that time it has already started?

sponsor assessment begins after the 60 days. it generally takes around 1-2 weeks, after which you'll get a sponsor approval letter that will also mention which visa office your file is being forwarded to (most likely Abu Dhabi in your case).
