Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi All,

I will like to know how CIC authorities verify work experience related documents. Do they call your company to verify? Do they personally visit job locations specified?

It depends on the VO and your application. If they have any doubts or something doesn't feel right, the VO can call/e-mail whoever signed the letter for some confirmation.

Thank you, I'm a bit concerned because the reference letter provided by my former employer does not show the registration number of the company
it is however stamped and signed by the managing director
what is your take on this please?

I am not sure about that, let's hear about it from fellow forum members! ;)

If they are in doubt they call the employer or send out an email to the employer. I have provided some good points on how to make the proof of employment strong to convince the immigration officer and you can find that post here - http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/express-entry-applicants-who-received-aor-connect-here-t269696.7320.html

Goodluck.

Where is the CIC's requirement that asks for the employer's registration number?

I never provided the employer's registration number in the letter. It was present in the LMIA though. Goodluck.

Thank you for the response
can you kindly clarify what the difference between an employment and reference letter is?
I am collecting my references letters before receiving ITA, so by the time I apply for PR, the letters will be more that 3 months old
what is your take on this?

There is no CIC requirement for a registration number, but I believe that it will help prove the authenticity of the document
