I'm a Canadian born sponsor trying to get my chinese wife and son to Canada. I waited many months for a reply to my immigration file in Hong Kong that it was complete now and a letter for interview sent out.. All I got was news from my wife the refusal package came in the mail.. On contacting Immigration office in Hong Kong they said my wife had missed the interview so they took that as the refusal, marrage not genuine... The letter for interview never got sent out before the interview date.. Now they thru my file into appeal division with up to another year or more to complete..
What was the problem with Visa Office sending email, registered mail or phone call??? I never received any so I had no way of contacting my wife to see if she had received the letter.. I can see why there's a backlog in this office as I've read there's an 80% refusal rate here!
