How to sponsor my wife? help please!

Hi friends!
I am applying for Immigration to Canada, federal skilled worker , am about to get the Visa because The embassy has requested my Passport for visa stamping 2 weeks ago , i have already sent my passport and am waiting for visa.
If everything goes well , i plan to land in Canada this summer but i will go back home at the end of summer or at the end of the year to get married in my country
i am therefore wandering about what i should do to sponsor my wife to join me in Canada after marriage in my home
- Can you please give me all the different steps to follow?
- Should i show a proof of fund again to sponsor her? i heard i do not need to show any income to sponsor my spouse is that true?
- What's the average processing time for my spouse visa?

First you need to decide whether you want to apply inside or outside Canada. Outside Canada means that your application is processed outside Canada, the applicant may still be in Canada though. This route is in the vast majority of all cases the fastest one, how long time it takes depends on where the applicant (your wife) is a citizen or resident, since that decides where the applicant is processed. The inland route usually takes 12-18 months, with an open-ended work permit usually being awarded after 6 months.

There is no low income cut-off for spousal applications, but you may not be on welfare when you are sponsoring anyone.

The processing time depends on where your application is processed. What is the nationality/country of residence of your future wife?

Well we are all Cameroonians, Africa , i am actually working in Asia and in case i recieve my visa, i will land in Canada and later go to Cameroon to marry her and when am back to Canada i will start to sponsor her.therefore she will be applying from Cameroon.
Well i thought i can only sponsor my wife if i am already in Canada , after ur post am confused, do you mean that i can still sponsor my wife even if i am not living in Canada? Must i have a job before sponsoring her? coz i read somewhere about the Employers letter??

Hi, you do not need to show them proof of income. And since you are not a citizen in Canada, you must stay inside Canada during the process.

Being from Cameroon you'd send your application to Abidjan, so in 80% of cases it would take 4-9 months plus about one month for the sponsorship application.
