Okay so I am ready to send I hope.

I have 4 sections:

Sponsor documents and forms
Applicant documents and forms
Marriage Documents and photos, invitations etc.
Proof of relationship history.

Now I just noticed that on the two separate checklists for Sponsor and Applicant they BOTH say to send marriage certificate, proof of relationship etc.

Do I need TWO copies of the marriage certificate, two copies of all the photos that show our history together etc? Because I had those in a separate section and only have one copy of everything. If the sponsor and applicant forms are separated once they get them, and the checklist says both need marriage certificate etc. Do I need to photocopy those last 2 sections and put them with BOTH my sponsor documents AND his applicant ones, or is one copy of these things fine?? I never thought about it till now. But then again, if they scan in that stuff to a file, wouldn't one copy be ok?

Just confused on the checklists both having the same things required.

Where do you see to send two copied of the marriage certificate? I remember thinking that but then it turned out in one it was only for co-signer or whatever.

Also, one envelope with all the proof of relationship if fine. CIC officers aren't dumb. If theres a big ol' envelope titled PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP they'll figure it out.

Conversationally, I did 3 envelopes. Sponsor, Applicant, Proof of R.

Well it's not that it says to send two separate copies but there is a checklist for sponsor and another checklist for the applicant. Both say to include marriage certificate. As I understand it, CIC separates the application into the sponsor application and applicant one. So Do I include a copy of the marriage certificate with both the sponsor part and the applicant part? I didn't separate it that way. Instead I have the sponsor forms and documents (id, financial etc) all together, then all his applicant forms and id, police verification, medical, etc in another section. Then the common sections between both of us I included a section for all the marriage documents and photos, etc. And lastly a section for history of our relationship with email history, phone logs, my past Indian Visas, photos of our past trips, my signed Canadian forces leave passes with his address etc. But both the checklists for sponsor and applicant say to include these things... so should I have made two copies of everything in the marriage and relationship history and included them in both the sponsor and applicant sections instead of one copy of these things separately??

I have each section held together with a bulldog clip since binders are apparently a nono. But I still used numbered dividers and put a title page showing whats in each section. And then the whole thing is held together with two large bulldog clips on the left side. I intend to put it all in a plastic zippered document protector and then put that in the Fedex Shipping Envelope. One of these exact ones from Staples:

Here is our exact whole application. It's like 2 full inches thick!! And you can't see but each of the 4 sections are held together with smaller bulldog clips.

before anyone asks.. yes that is aVancouver 2010 olympic torch in the background... I was lucky enough to be selected to be a torchbearer... :)

I did three folders
Sponsor
Applicant
Proof of Relationship

I included one marriage certificate and photocopy... I'm trying to think of which folder I put it in,
but I believe I put it in the Sponsor and then put a photocopy of the marriage certificate in the
Applicant's folder with a note stating that the original is in the Sponsor folder section.

I hope this helps
