When we called without AOR, we just used the PA's passport number.

What number do you dial?
We're calling from outside Canada. The IVR doesnt have an option to proceed without UCI or application number

And calling 613 944 4000 just hangs up?

This is wat we dial. We follow the the IVR to CIC where they ask for UCI or Application number to proceed further. Roadblock

We also tried selecting the option "If you wish to speak to an employee of our department press 3"... we are then asked to enter the name of the person through the keypad.. and again ...a road block.

the call centre number does not work outside of canada. some people have had luck using sykpe, but for the most part the call will disconnect or have issues if called from outside of canada.

what specifically are you calling about? as a march applicant, there's a chance your application isn't even opened yet, so it is unlikely they will be able to help you at all at this point.

Wanted to know if they have returned the application. People whose application reached a week after us have received AORs.
Since we live outside Canada, it might reach us weeks after they send it back since they dont use courier. If infact theyv sent it back, we'll check with local post offices as they are notorious for losing important mail.

We had submitted an old-form birth certificate for the principal applicant (issued in the 80s) rather than the new ones that are now made. (old certificate holders are entitled to getting new ones made). Half of the applicants here from Principal applicants country say old birth certificate is fine, the other half says application might get returned.
