I got my Student visa. I heard that you should show some documents at the airport to the border officer to get your study permit. And one of them is the proof of funds. Should I show cash? or bank accounts and my parents salary statements? Thanks

Really? I don't think so. The only thing you need to show the CBSA officer is that visa letter CIC sent it to you, it has your immigration details and stuffs. They may have some few questions, that's it.
No need to show cash, unless they ask, well, you might have to declare and explain if you are taking a large amount of money, over 10K CAD I think.
If you have GIC, you don't even need to carry cash. Else, carrying about 2-3K CAD cash would be sufficient I assume.
