how to send Birth Certificates for CHC - Help

Hi friends;

The CHC document check list says, all documents we submit should be notorized photo copies and not originals other than the PCC.
and it also says any thing not in Englisg should be translated.

Does it mean, that we first have to translate the Birth, marriage certificates etc, and then notorize it (or rather photo copy the translated one and notorize). Do we have to attach a notorized photo copy of the original Birth certificate (The original non-English one) ?

And EG7 guide says

Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:
• the English or French translation; and
• an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
• a certified copy of the document.
Note: An affidavit is a document on which the translator has sworn, in the presence of a commissioner authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the translator is living, that the contents of their translation are a true translation and representation of the contents of the original document.

Hi,

Make photocopy and notarize the copy.

If the translation is made by a Govt.Licensed translator in your country, there will be a certification at the bottom of the translation paper, with his seal and licence number. That will be enough.

If it is translated by any un-licenced person, an affidavit as you said may be necessary.

Always better to get it translated by a licensed translator.
