How to satisfy Canadian visa officer that you return to your country

i have applied for Canada embassy twice times, but they refused my application. they wrote me in the refused letter that i do not meet the requirements for a TRV, you have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of the temporary period if were authorized to enter. plus they mentions the requirements of Regulation 170? what is this?
I'm Self-employed and running my own business. i have sent proof of my Business documents, Bank account, my home documents, plus some character letters with the TRV application. i have few countries travels history on my passport. i dont know what are the rest to satisfy the canada officer? anyone who have experience, please share here

hey bro, der r alws some reasons given in da refusal letter, i mean dis is da visa officer's favorite lines tht u'll nt come back 2 ur country of origin bla bla bla , bt der r sub reasons given under dis lines means y he/she beleive tht u will nt come back for ex-
a) sufficient funds
b) personal assets, purpose of visit, bla bla bla bla

by da way, da visa fee which v pay dem , dey r jst spending tht money for their refreshments ;D , suppose if der eatbles n coffee is abt 2 finish dn dey start refusing more visa bcoz dey knw it people will re-apply again n dey will get coffee for dem, so dnt worry bro , most of da people on dis forum are in same boat,
if sm1 get da TRV it means god himself came down to da canadian high commission and god stamped ur visa after convincing VISA OFFICER ;D

My mother in law applied for the TRV twice. The first time was issued and the second one was refused. Only one travel history in her passport which was the first visit to Canada several months ago. Despite the VO explanation that they didn't believe her returning at the end of her intended stay, the first one did proved that she returned to her home country at the end of her stay!
The assets, other supportings and contents of the invitation is about the same in both applications, but outcome differently.

Any experts help ...What documents we need to show that we will return ? How much funds do we need to show for Work permit applications ? I don't have a clarity as some posts suggest that we need to show Proof of Funds for WP and others suggest that no need to show Proof of funds.
