I'm sponsoring someone under SCLPC class. I have received a letter from CIC-M requesting for my financial proof as a sponsor.
The problem is I am only sponsoring her and we do not have dependents. I decided to retire this year and I have been worked abroad for the past ten years. Therefore, my recent T4 issued by Revenue CA does not show any incomes.
How to demonstrate my financial ability as a sponsor? will it be enough if I submit my old pay stubs from several years ago and my bank statements from my saving account?

What about the tax statements from where you worked? You must have paid taxes in whichever country you were living in, right?

I do not have any tax records from another country. I have not declared my global income when I return to Canada. However, I have filed my taxes and received NOA from 2015-2019. I also have a joint bank account and my own saving account.
Will suffice the requirement?

How exactly do you support yourself? How will you support your spouse?

There's no Low-income cut line for sponsoring only one person. Correct?
I have incentives from my previous job.

There is no minimum income requirement but you do have to show that you can support yourselves without welfare. You can and will be refused if IRCC believes you and your spouse will end up on welfare.

You need to show a solid financial plan. IRCC is already concerned, hence the request.

Well, I'm 58 years old and I am not qualified for CPP. A solid financial plan? Like going to a private consulting firm and seeking professional advise on retirement planning?

No. A solid financial plan, meaning that you need to explain to IRCC how you will support yourself and your spouse in Canada without welfare and prove it.

The applicant is relying on her family for financial support. I have named her as my beneficiary in my will and my life insurance. Do I need to include a letter from her family in my response?

Being a beneficiary of your will has nothing to do with it. Again, how do you support yourself? Is her family going to support her forever?

Nor declaring you global income is not an optional requirement. It also sounds like you may have investments aborad that are earning money which you also need to declare. I assume you have been back in Canada for a year or almost a year at this point.

What happened to withdrawing your sponsorship because she cheated on you? If you are already habing serious issues in your relationship it will likely only get worse after she gets PR. Sense there may be othrr red flags in thos relationship. Is there a large age difference between you two?

I have large amount of deposits in my saving (way above LICO-BT for family size: 2 ppl. )
Planning to submit some letters from governments as supplementary proofs
1. My option 3 print print out year :2016-2019
2. Paystubs and T4 :2016-2017 when I was temporarily employed in Canada
3. My old employment contract from 2012-2015
4. Affidavit of financial supports from her family
5. Joint bank account showing she’s the secondary card holder and I have direct transactions to her account ;
6. Purchasing history : vacation/ miscellaneous expenses
7. A letter from an Ontario work commissioner :stating that there’s no match for social assistance
8. Explanation letter to CIC-M : I’m not bankrupted and I have plans to support my wife and myself.
9. Other docs: my will, my life insurance showing that she’s the beneficiary ; my early retirement plan, my email exchange with real estate agent ;
10. Record of contributions: donating to charity and political party

I really don't know how to explain it you you any clearer. The majority of that is completely irrelevant, as none of it show HOW you are currently supporting yourself. If you plan to live off of savings for the rest of your life, proof of sufficient savings is what you need to show.

Sounds like some tax dodging has been happening and now showing that money is impossible since he never paid the taxes due on it.
