Hello,

I have a query about moving to Canada along with a partner. We are in a relationship and wanted to relocate to Canada but I have no clue how can we go together, as if I go through a PR process I cannot take him as dependent as we are not yet married. Can someone guide me which is the way we both can relocate to Canada together?

If you have lived together in a marriage-like relationship for 12 months or more (at the same address, with proof) you could apply as common-law.

If you haven't done this, then you must be married. Or your partner must apply for PR on their own.

Oh! In that case, he too has to score good bands to get PR. But even if he does so how will we both get to go to the same place in Canada? What if he is sent to another city?

You don't get "sent" to other cities unless you both apply for provincial nomination in different provinces.

If he doesn't qualify on his own, you need to get married if you both want to be in Canada.

Ok. Thank you for the information.
