Hey. I just had a quick question. When filling out personal history, I came across one question. If I was on a work permit and inbetween jobs I volunteered for a couple of months at a psychology laboratory to get some extra experience for potential grad schools. It wasnt a work placement or a work study position, just asked if i could assist around the lab. So i should put in under section "unemployed" since it wasnt work or study, right?

Did you possess a work permit that allowed you to do this "volunteer work"? If you didn't, it was probably illegal working.

It was a post graduate work permit, open work permit without a requirement on an employer
In that case, unemployed seems reasonable.
