How to prove the proof of finance without parents support

I have been studying in US for 5 years and I intend that after completing the bachelor degree, I want to study master in Canada but my parents do not support that idea so I am trying to find a way to apply for canada student visa by myself without my parents paperwork. I am eligible for an international student loan from Mpower ( about 20000 CAD) and plan to invest in GIC approximately 20000CAD which is my from saving account. Is enough for proof of finance? How high is the chance to pass the visa? Btw 1st year tuition is 20000CAD
