Please read, a little long...

My husband and I applied for PR, (I’m UK and my husband is CAD) our application got received October 18th 2018, started processing April 5th 2019
We’ve heard nothing since April 16th 2019.
after speaking to phone cigc agents, it should roughly of been 12months from October 2018.

So last month we ordered gcms notes which we received today.
We are mortified!
The only note there reads, “Based on the documentation submitted, I am not satisfied that the relationship is genuine and that the sponsor and PA are cohabiting in Canada”. Note was created on 5th June 2019. Given the small limits they allow us to send, we sent; 20 photos over the pass three years prior to applying, joint bills, joint home lease rental, 10 pages of text logs, several bills/statements with same address, marriage certificate, package shipped labels with address.
We didn’t have much because we was permanently living for a year in Canada together before applying for PR. (Two years prior I spent between Europe and Canada)
It also says in the notes, “police request for germany - to be requested”... but they haven’t sent no requests.

What else could I send to prove we are living together. Other than things that have our address on.
what else could I send to prove our relationship is legit.
Should I also send them a German police request even though they haven’t requested anything?

Also what does this mean; (on the gcms notes)

Sponsorship - family class & refugee
Language -English
SPR eligibility PASSED (what does this mean?)
Status - PASSED (what does this mean?)

when I log in it shows ‘in process’

I’m mortified that someone thinks my marriage is fake, I understand there is some out there but not mine. How can I change someone’s views. Thinking that any time they can ask me to leave my husband after three years permanently living together in Canada. Buying trucks, land, and starting a business is very upsetting that this could happen.

Please help with any advice!
Thank you.

Hmm, crazy. Did you link your application online? Sponsor Eligibility passed means it has been determined that your husband is eligible to sponsor you. This is a good sign. Not sure what is going on here to be honest. Did you apply outland or inland?

Did your husband receive any emails confirming the receipt of your application?

Check your husband’s 2019 emails (including spam). Check his October, November and December 2018 emails as well. As the sponsor, he is supposed to have received an acknowledgement of receipt from IRCC a few weeks after you sent in your application.

Sorry about your situation. It is everyone's fear. For proof of cohabitation, collect any further proof you have that you are living together, in Canada, till this date. If you have joint bank accounts, if you are included i each other's insurance policies (if you have any) send those as well. To show your relationship is genuine, send more proof that will show your relationship is genuine; more pics, if you were together when in Europe and have anything to show proof of relationship send those as well, try and ask friends, family ,neighbours if possible to write letters. All the best.

for some reasons we can’t link it online, even tried it over the phone with cigc agent - not happening.
We applied Inland. I/we have never left the country since almost three years.
yes, we both received emails once when they received it and then again when they started processing it in 2018 November 8th.
It’s crazy, we have zero idea what’s going on.

At the time of sending in our application we did send joint bank/credit cards proof, both joint insurance policies. I did get two of my close friends and our families to write letters which we had already sent. I have no idea what else to send.

How long was it since you had the bank accounts/insurance polices at the time you sent them? i would send them again because this time the statements would show a much 'bigger' span of time. As for letters from friends, I would send more. I am sure from 2018 to now you must have more to show proving that you are still living together in Canada, and that your relationship is genuine. For some reason they sometimes would ask for further proof and one would have no choice but to send the same documents (updated) and some new info. I am sure it should be fine. Just have them ready and send them once they ask forthem.

Ps if you did not send police certificate for German and you lived there at one point, go ahead and start the process to request for it so that you have it ready when they ask for it (if they haven't already)

If you cant access your GCKEY it might be a problem especially if they send you an email and you don't get it. In the mean time make sure you check your spam emails so that you don't miss any requests from them (both sponsor and PA), especially from the time after you talked to the agents and after you received your notes. And if possible raise an inquiry via webform. Also try to login on ECAS (sponsor) may be you will see something there.

Oh boy, I see. I am pretty sure that the main problem here is that you weren’t able to link the application. Any requests they may have sent through mail may have gotten lost. Plus, IRCC mails honestly take forever to reach recipients, smh.

Go online to find out if they have made any requests since you submitted the application. They most likely have. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-status.html

Click on the link above. It will ask you if you would like to check your application status by creating an account or by using the online tool. Use the online tool.

You should be able to find something after entering your information. Also call IRCC as well and speak to an agent. You can’t reach them right now due to the pandemic but you should be able to reach them in a few weeks.

Checking your status online will help you find out if IRCC has sent you any requests but you will not be able to find out the full details of the request. You will need to speak to an agent to see if they can help you figure it out and maybe help you get a hold of any electronic letters that may have been sent by IRCC.

Hope this all helps and hope you are able to resolve everything soon.
