How to obtain Skype History calls when used on Iphone

Hi Everyone,

I didn't see any dicussions for this topic so I thought I would create a new one. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with obtaining Skype to Skype history if used on an Iphone. I even tried calling skype but they were not able to help me. I would appreciate it if anyone out there who has been able to get their records somehow to share your experience. Thank you.
 
Have you or can you jailbreak your iPhone?

The only possible way I can think to access the chat history is to jailbreak your phone and install a program that'll allow you to browse to your Skype chat log file(s?). It's been a while since I tinkered with jailbreaking my phone - I think the program you want is iFile?

On a computer, the chat history stored in a .db file, so if you're lucky and Skype stores its logs in the same format on the phone as it does on the computer version, you could transfer that file to a PC and use some software to extract the chat history from that file in a readable manner (I used a program called SkypeLogView).

I think what you'll likely have to do though is just take screenshots from various time frames to show that you've been in communication for however long you've talked to your parter on Skype. Maybe 2 or 3 screenshots from each month could illustrate this? Depending on how large your chat log is, you'd likely not want to send them every piece of communication between you two. My wife and I were going to do this but the entire thing was almost 800 pages!

Hi Korma...I can't retrieve the screen shots because I erased that last call, I guess I'll try jail breaking it if that's the only option. Is there no way to do it on a pc?

Hi samaseemo...I have the iPhone 4s. After I jail break it what exactly would I need to do. Is there anyway of doing it without jail breaking it? Thanks
 
How to Recover Call History on iPhone
Step 1. Choose your iPhone model
A primary window below will appear, when you run the program on your computer. At that time you just need to choose your device type first.
Step 2. Select a restore mode
Among the following two recovery modes, If you choose the first one, you can extract your iTunes backup. If you want to scan your iPhone, you can choose the second one .
Step 3. Choose iTunes backup and scan it
Step 4. Recover the deleted iPhone call history

well you can use a PC program to get the skype logfile on your device, then onto your PC.

try Google search......for instance...

Whaaaaaaa? I have used Skype on various phones, and all I did was log onto my Skype account online, click 'call history' and print out the results! You shouldn't need to use your phone at all!
 
I just copy/pasted the results from the Contact page in the Skype program. (Clicked on his name and it showed our history all the way back to the beginning.)

Is that acceptable or do I need to print out the actual log files from my online account?

Never mind..... I just checked with Skype and the only Call History they show is in the app itself and the same place I already copy/pasted.
 
Restore from the last iTunes backup on your computer.
I hope you do backup regularly.
Once a week is good.
When you sync iphone data to itunes .So you should check whether the backup exists.
Click the File menu and select Devices > Restore from backup files.
Actually, if you do not have the backup files, you can still recover iphone call list with Coolmuster iPhone iPad iPod Data Recovery software.
 
I know there is a free app for doing this on WhatsApp but never heard such an app for Skype. Microsoft refuses to release more details on this.

I wonder how you restore data from backup ? It does not seem to be the same as the iTunes/iCould backup recovery process.
