If you have a UCI / Application number you can do that online via logging into ecas (check status): http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/status.asp or mycic: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/account.asp .

a tip about changing your address on ECAS (if you're the applicant) is that changing it online does NOT guarantee the information is transferred properly to the file and it's quite common for CIC to send approval papers to old addresses, even when the address has been changed online. It's best to send a case specific inquiry directly to the visa office along with changing it online.
