How to load Face Book Chat History ?

Hi,

I hope most of the people give Face book chats also as a proof of relation ship ,Is there a Tool or simple way to extract History of 6 months. Taking screen shots doesnot cover full page . Thanks in advance.

There is an option somewhere in account settings to download all of your content that you have on facebook... The data comes out a bit messy, but it would be possible to pull out the relevant conversations... I did all this an then say forget it and just did a few screen shots of our original relationship contact.

There is a way to see your complete chat history on Facebook easily. By this method you can also see Photos or videos you've shared on Facebook. Your Wall posts etc. -- 'A copy of what you've shared on Facebook'
Follow these steps:
1. Go to 'Account Settings'
2. Click on 'Download a copy of your Facebook data' from bottom of General section
3. Then click 'Start My Archive' -- It may take a little while for gather your photos, wall posts, messages, and other information. (Usually 20 to 60 minutes)
4. Once Archive generated Download it.
5. Extract and open 'index.html' from downloaded folder
6. Now you can see 'Messages' on bottom of the page, click it.
Done!

I downloaded mine recently for keepsake purposes. But now I need it for supporting relationship evidence. I am not looking forward to sorting through it all as I don't want to include EVERY conversation LOL

That was our main way of contact and we even used the video chat on there which is supported but Skype but won't show up in Skype history. We don't have emails or phone calls or anything.

I wish I would have known about that....I only took screen shots....using the Prntscrn button on the computer...

Thanks. I did download the conversation the way you suggested. However only 4 months conversation was downloaded. after that shows below Error. I did that again , but same Error , Any way to get Full Download ?

We were unable to download the remainder of this conversation.

When I did my download this option was not available. I had to contact Facebook and request chat history, they e-mailed me back download in 2 days.
Unfortunately it looks like Facebook might only keep history for so long. Only of thing I can suggest is contact Facebook to see if history kept for longer than 4 months.

That's what I plan on doing as well. To show our ongoing contact. And then after I started visiting, showing plane tickets and photos since we've been together.

We just copy and pasted into Word. And later actually took pictures of the FB and Skype messages for the interview (although VO did not even look at additional proof)...
