I received the email with application number and UCI

I've tried numerous times to link the application to my account it's not working

Can someone help please is there a special way or give step by step guidance

I linked my application today. The first time it couldn't find it (entered application number, UCI number) and for number of applicants I entered 1 (just sponsoring spouse) and it didn't work).

I then tried again with UCI number and surname, and for number of applicants I entered 2, entered passport information for PA as on passport and city where we intend to live and it linked successfully.
