Hi,

I just want to ask how will I know if there is a problem in the processing of our application. I am a live in caregiver here in Canada when I filed our application for permanent residence. Immigration received my application on November 18, 2010. Started the processing January 5, 2011. My family in the Philippines received their kit April 2013. Then when I followed up our application in Manila, they said they already forwarded it in Vegreville, Alberta. I received a letter for the medical, NBI and payment of landing fee last April 2014. I submitted them all last May. The problem now, all my friends have their Permanent residence even those who just submitted their application last Feb. 2014. But on my case, up to now, I have not received a single email regarding schedule for interview of permanent residence or if there is any problem. I thought it will only takes 2 months after my family medical based on what I usually heard.

My question, what step do I need to do now to know if there is a problem in our application and what makes it delay.

Thank you for your help. God bless.

I am suggesting two things:

1.order gcms notes here : https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/

2.write an email to your VO asking about the current status for your application.

For sure they will clear your thoughts and your situation. Keep the faith!

If there was a problem CIC will contact you. A friend of mine under live in care giver with open permit now had husband overseas and a daugther in Philippines had same time like you. Her family took medical first week of May 2014 and submitted requesting document on same time. Until now she never heard or no info on her application. Just wait a little bit more.

Where am I going to send the email? What email address I mean? I really wanted to do that.

Thanks.
