How to issue the PR card if on board by land?

Hello,
I am a new immigrant and landed in Canada on May 2015 from Windsor-Detroit Bridge.
A immigration officer told me that I cannot issue the PR card right after landing since i have no permanent address in Canada.
Now i have settle down in Canada but i am wondering how can I issue my PR card?
Please guide.

If you did not provide your Canadian mailing address when you became a permanent resident, you have to send it to us using our online tool within 180 days of the day you become a permanent resident. If you do not send it within 180 days, the PR card will be cancelled and you will have to apply for one and pay the processing fees.

It seems after i change the address in online tools, they will send me the PR card
