Hello Everyone,

Would like to know your thoughts and advice on how I can improve my score in order to be in the draw

I had applied for my Canadian Express Entry Visa last year and have completed my IELETS Overall Score 7.0, my ICAS and my Express Entry overall Score so far is 395

The current step is to apply for Jobs in Canada for me to get the 600 points which will allow me to enter the draw

Im an IT professional and been told it might take longer and would not be so easy to have employers calling us to provide IT based Jobs

So wanna know your valuable feedback on this

Thanks
Sam

Being and IT professional in Canada,I don't want to discourage you, but it is not easy to get job within Canada itself, so getting job from overseas is next to impossible. I would suggest you to work on your IELTS instead of depending on the LMIA. IELTS is the only possible way to improve your CRS.

adding to what nehasoni said, You can meanwhile apply to provinces which are open and which will open in near future. your NOC is very much in demand for NBPNP and SINP, keep checking those provinces, and PEI is open for you right now so apply to PEI.

Thank You guys for replying to my question promptly, really appreciate it :)

I actually live and have all work experience in Dubai UAE, will that help in anyway ?

Also can you please let me know what are the caveats in applying via provinces ?

Thanks
Sam

Hi,

The processing time may get longer and varies depending on the Province where you apply to get additional 600 points, whereas if your CRS is above 480+ as per current trend then you would get direct ITA which would then take a maximum of 6 months to get your PR.

GET your IELTS to CLB9 and you should be in ~450 CRS range, i would spent 1 month learning more English and go that route. I had same score that you with CLB7, but it raised to 474 with clb9

Yes, Thank You volodyalysak, pk910 and the rest of the forum members

It makes sense, this is also an good option, will do the IELTS once again to improve my grades and will let you know

Thanks
