i am a undergraduate english hons. student in India. i want to immigrate to Canada by going there to study English minor (of 8 or 12 months) course. doing which i could get student visa. then after my course i would apply for work permit. will that make me a landed immigrant there?, i have scored 56.6% in 10+2, what are my chances of getting admission to any Canadian univ. in this course???? and plz can any one suggest some public univ.s where i can get admission to this course with this marks????.i want to work as a official clerk there which req. high school pass, but due to not getting a visa( as my job is not on skill shortage list) i cant go now. what are my chances of getting a job in this field??? will it help me in becoming a permanent resident in future???

Read through the information in the thread below. It provides detailed information about getting PR through coming to Canada as a student:

there is no short cut or indirect way to get immigration...

as per ur details...chances r thin to get student visa...

Read up on the link that was provided

First of all you need to qualify for a student visa-That means admission to school, plus getting through CIC to get a visa
After a 8-12 month course-you will be granted a 8-12 months Work Permit to allow you to gain Canadian experience
In order to apply for PR under CEC (your stated goal) you need to work for 12 months in specific jobs---check that job list and and make sure you secure a job in that field (not an east task!)
