Hi folks!
I'm a Canadian Citizen, husband's a PR for about 3 years now and we applied for his parents' TRV beginning of this year.
Purpose of Visit: Tourism & Visiting us

Some documents we provided were:

1. NOTCE OF ASSESSMENTS (2017)
2. JOB LETTERS
3. STATUATORY DECLARATION (NOTARIZED)
4. INVITATION LETTER (NOTARIZED)

**NOTARY PUBLIC STAMP AND SIGNATURE ON ALL THESE DOCUMENTS** :-
1. PURPOSE OF VISIT (NOTARIZED)
2. PHOTOCOPY OF FUNDS / ASSETS i.e. BANK STATEMENT
3. PHOTOCOPY OF CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS (LIST OF PROJECTS/ PROPERTIES)
4. PHOTOCOPY OF PENSION SLIPS
5. BIL (SUPPORTING PROOF OF RETURN – LETTER)
6. SIL LETTER (SUPPORTING PROOF OF RETURN – LETTER)
7. CASH IN HAND 10K PKR

Reasons for Rejection:
Not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay based on your:
"Travel History, Purpose of Visit and Financial Status."

I have heard some people go through their local MP after rejection, drafting a letter for support, followed with itinerary (we didn't include this), and more cash in hand value and got visa in 3 days. They didn't have to reapply!

My questions:
1. Is there a way to have them reassess the application after rejection WITHOUT having to do reapply from scratch. I was thinking to snail mail the supporting documents to Abu Dhabi VO directly.

2. In the occasion, reapplying is the only way (ugh), is it more convenient to get it done online instead of a paper application? Would we be paying the new application fees online in CAD? Are there options to add additional supporting documents because I know the upload links are classified based on what they want to be uploaded there.

Looking for solutions and experiences from y'all.

Not sure your MP can help much but you can certainly try. Go to their office and ask. You may get lucky, some people do.

Otherwise, you should reapply online. That’s typically easier.

You’d be paying in CAD. You can upload all extra documents in one PDF under the supporting letter.

1. You would need to send a case specific inquirty to the visa office to request reconsideration. Any documents you provide should be sent electronically. It's up to IRCC if they reconsider or not - generally they do not and you must reapply.
2. It's really up to you how you reapply. MP letters don't help - don't bother include that. Focus on providing stronger evidence of the parents' ties to their home country, etc.
