How to go with Travel Documents Process without PR Card

Hi Guys/Asivad,

I landed at Toronto on 1st June 2016. I am waiting for my PR Card but I have to go back to Delhi, India for 3 weeks or so.

I came to know that to return I would need Travel Document.

Can you guys please advice what to do? How much time Travel Document will take if I apply at VAC Delhi ?

And how much time PR Cards are taking now ? Can we ask CIC to speed up the process for my case?

Travel document processing time varies by VO, so easiest is just to call them and ask for average time they take.

Last time I checked a couple days ago, average processing for PR card was 58 days.

Apply TD through VFS India, processing time minimum one week.

Is there any contact of CIC where I can call or mail to check the status of PR Card? Is there any way to send a request to make it faster?

You can't make request ugent for initial PR card, only apply for pr card renewal you could do that.

What all you can do, you can either contact IRCC's call center or If it has been more than six weeks longer than the time shown since you applied, and you need more information concerning the status of your application, use the Case Specific Enquiry form.

However, based on your timeline, I think you would get PR card pretty soon.
